Executive Functions is hiring for a paid full- or part-time executive editor position starting this spring or summer.
Primary responsibilities include:
Editing Bauer’s and Goldsmith’s Executive Functions articles.
Conducting substantive research on executive branch actions, executive power issues (legal and non-legal), and related topics for Bauer and Goldsmith as needed.
Writing and supervising the Roundup, a weekday newsletter summarizing news and relevant commentary related to executive power.
Managing the website, subscriber engagement, and related issues.
Candidates will need at least a bachelor’s degree by spring (the position is open to those with higher degrees, including J.D.s). Outstanding editing and writing skills are required. Editing, writing, or research experience in a professional or co-curricular setting is also required. Demonstrated interest in executive power or related legal issues is preferred but not required.
The position is fully remote and salaried at $72,000 per year (or will be prorated for a part-time position) with additional support for health insurance. The preferred start date for the position is late spring or early summer, but there is some flexibility.
