Judge Indira Talwani (D. Mass.) on Monday issued a preliminary injunction blocking the Trump Administration from enforcing Section 71113 of the 2025 Reconciliation Act, which imposes a one-year ban on Medicaid reimbursements to any health care nonprofit that offers abortion services and received more than $800,000 in Medicaid funding in 2023. Pending Interim Order Applications Involving the U.S. Government in the Supreme Court
National Institutes of Health, et al. v. American Public Health Association, et al.: Government filed application on July 24 to stay district court order that prevented the National Institutes of Health from canceling grants that, according to the administration, are related to DEI and “gender ideology.”
